Meet Captain Luis Lagrandier and Puerto Rico Sportfishing Charters

Born and raised in Dorado, for Capt. Luis, the north coast waters have been his play grounds since he was a young boy. With twenty one years in charter experience and fishing for more than thirty years, fishing is more than his passion, is his lifestyle.

He stared fishing in tournaments when he was a little kid. Winner of multiple inshore tournaments, he fished every weekend with his friends around the island learning different light tackle fishing techniques. He worked his way up by working as mate in offshore sport fishing charter boats. In the late nineties, he got his U.S.C.G. captain license and started working as captain on private sport fishing yachts and also worked part-time on inshore/back country fishing charters. Working on private sport fishing yachts gave him the opportunity to fish all around Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Today as a U.S.C.G. 100 tons Master Captain and light tackle fishing guide, fisherman and conservationist, Capt. Luis fishes in an all release basis.

Member of the Puerto Rico Light Tackle Anglers Club, IGFA and Puerto Rico Sportfishing Association, Capt. Luis like to share his knowledge and experiences to make your fishing trip a lifetime experience.

GUIDE CANCELLATION: In the rare event that your guide must cancel due to inclement weather, health, or equipment issues, you will have the option to reschedule your charter for a later date or receive a refund on your deposit.
